What HypnoBirthing is

It is education and practice, not performance. You learn how labour works, how fear changes what the body does, and a set of relaxation and breathing techniques you rehearse until they are second nature. Nothing about it is mystical, and nothing about it replaces your medical care.

Calm is a skill. It can be taught and practised.

Advantages of the programme

  • Practical tools for staying calm and in control through labour
  • Breathing and deep relaxation techniques you can use from today
  • A clear understanding of what is happening in your body and why
  • A defined role for your birth partner, rehearsed in advance
  • Informed questions to ask your care team, so decisions stay yours

Is it right for me?

  • You want a natural, low-intervention birth and caesarean not to be the automatic default
  • You are roughly 20–35 weeks (later is still possible — see the note below)
  • You are new to HypnoBirthing and want to understand it properly
  • Your pregnancy is higher complexity — planned caesarean, VBAC, hypertension, gestational diabetes or twins

Past 35 weeks? A condensed fast-track version of the programme is available. Mention your week count when you get in touch.
